Do you remember these from those primary school? I used to always save my 50c for these scrumptious honey joys on cake day! So deliciously simple, just a little package of sweet and crispy cornflakes that melt in your mouth and are gone in 30sec... I recently saw this on the side of the cornflakes box and have been craving them for awhile so was lots of fun to make for morning tea this week! Can't really take any credit for this recipe, but mnom mnom mnom!
Prep time: 10 min
Cooking time: 15 min
100g margarine
1/3 C sugar
1 T honey
4 1/2 C Kellogs cornflakes
Method:
1. Preheat the oven at 150˚C
2. Melt the margarine in a saucepan, add the sugar and honey and heat until frothy.
3. Pour over the cornflakes, then spoon out into mini-patty cases
4. Bake in the oven for 10-15 min until brown and crisp. Cool for 10min to allow it to set.
5. Share with all the other kids (or kids at heart)!
