Christmas cooking

This year our annual girls Christmas meal happened a little bit earlier than usual as one of my favourite people was heading to an exciting adventure in Egypt/Jordan and escaping Sydney! As Christmas is a great time to have everyone together, I thought better have it early rather than have someone missing! It did feel a bit rushed with December being a little bit hectic, so stuck with some old recipes and kept the menu pretty healthy to avoid over-eating before the festive season begun properly!

Saffron lemon chicken 
Pomegranate and mixed tomato salad with labanné
Prawn, mango and snowpea salad
Duck, cabbage and crispy noodle salad
Dessert by Li en - pavlova with mango, boysenberries and mint!
Stealing Kris Kringle - very tame this year!
Beautiful way to end the year with these lovely ladies. Thanks for coming even on a wet, stormy Monday night! Looking forward to another year of friendship, fun and watching the littles ones grow up :)
