Korean Bulgogi Beef

(serves 3-4)
Adapted from Savoury Sweet Life
With a leftover pack of thinly sliced beef originally designated for hot pot, bulgogi seemed like the next best idea. The larger portion of sesame oil makes this distinctively Korean, along with the crushed garlic and toasted sesame seeds, this marinade smells and tastes absolutely amazing! The best thing about this dish is that it cooks super quickly, great for after training!

Prep time: 15 min (marinate for at least 20min, but >1hr is best!)
Cooking time: 5 min
Ingredients:
400g sliced beef, defrosted
1/3 C soy sauce
2 T white sugar
1 T sesame oil
4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
2 T toasted sesame seeds
1/2 brown onion
2 shallots

Method:
1.Finely dice the brown onion and thinly slice the shallots.
2. Marinate the beef in the soy sauce, sugar, sesame oil, garlic, onion, and sesame seeds. Leave for a minimum of 20 minutes at room temperature.
3. Heat a pan on high heat and spread the meat in a thin layer to BBQ for 2-3 minutes until just cooked!
4. Garnish with finely sliced shallots and sesame seeds. Serve with rice.
