RDP #4: Bon Appétit

This month is Hope month, part of an initiative from the Christian radio station Hope 103.2 that i often listen to. The idea is to host a meal and have those attending donate online to raise money for a charity organisation, Hope Street, who works with people who are marginalised, homeless or destitute to provide supportive services. So this seemed liked the perfect opportunity for the next random dinner party!

The theme was French, the location was Paul's and i was put into sous chef/food designer position this time as breads, pastries and sauces aren't high on my repertoire! It was a bit of a shift, not sure if it's my favourite position in the kitchen lol, but was a great learning experience and lots of fun of course!
Getting into the French spirit!

Le menu
Hors d'oeuvres:
Fresh olive and basil bread, pheasant paté and finger lime "caviar"
Platter of dip, bread, olive oil, french brie, grapes, and gruyere cheese puffs
Entreé:
French onion soup, served with baguette
Main:
Roasted pork loin chop with apple sauce, served with potato gratin
Cherry tomato and basil salad
Dessert:
Lemon and strawberry cremé cake with lemon vanilla éclairs

Thank you to everyone for coming and being part of a great night, for a great cause!
Double the good cause was eating by candle light for Earth hour! :)
