Housewarming: South-west tasting plate

It's hard to believe how quickly the year goes by, and finally, almost exactly 3 months after we moved in, we finally were able to welcome my loveliest and oldest bunch of friends over to see our new home. We have been feeling very blessed to have a place to call home, and for friends and family to share that with. Can't believe it's been almost 20 years that I've known some of these girls, since Year 7! Funny how time has changed, and yet not changed us in many ways :)
Instead of doing too much cooking this time, we decided to provide a little sampling plate of our favourite eats since moving to multicultural Fairfield!

Menu
Salt & sumac Iraqi bread chips with beetroot dip, olives and crackers
Zaa'tar pizza from Iraqi bakery, only $2!
Empanadas from Argentinian café & bakery, Bistro Portones
Duck rice paper rolls, made from Yummy's BBQ duck, Cabramatta
Fig, prosciutto, rocket & pecorino salad
Bargain box of figs for $15 from Fred's Fruit
Iraqi's Mixed grill plate & chicken tikka, with their amazing bread!
Unfortunately, no photo of this as Paul got it right on dinner time and we got distracted eating it...

Dulce de leche swiss roll from Chilean restaurant/sweets, Paula's Empanadas
Random interesting drinks;
Inca Kola (South American, Paul's favourite - some kind of cross between Mountain Dew and Creaming Soda),
Chicha Morada (South American Purple corn drink)
Tamarind Drink (From Iraqi's)

We loved having you all over, especially little Hayley and Zac! Thanks for making the trek out, sorry about the traffic but I believe that was the Adele concert rather than the usual! :) We missed a couple of the usual gang, but hopefully next time!
