Breakfast Ideas

Breakfast
The most important meal of the day.
It gets me out of bed.
I love breakfast.

So many people i know don't have breakfast: don't have time for it, can't be bothered, nothing good to have. What???

One of my favourite things about not having to work full-time is being able to wake up without an alarm clock, go for a run, make brekkie and sit down to enjoy it. It doesn't take long, but it's one of life's simple pleasures!

So here's a few ideas for those who don't know what they're missing out on.

Quick but scrumptious:
#1: Avocado on toasted sourdough, sprinkled with freshly ground salt, pepper and drizzled with olive oil.
And, if available, thinly sliced basil, inspired by Bambini Trust Cafe.
Change it up occasionally with some smoked salmon and mayo!
#2: Smoothies: Strawberries, banana, a mini Mango Weiss bar or 1 T greek yoghurt, lite milk.
Alternatively, when bananas were cheaper: banana, handful of frozen blueberries, lite milk.
Fresh fruit (mango, strawberries, apple, pear) with cereal and lite milk!
Something a little more fancy:

#4: Big brekkie: Poached egg, wilted spinach, pesto oyster mushrooms, roasted tomato, fresh basil and avocado on toasted sourdough. Would be amazing with some crunchy bacon, but none at home usually...

#5: Triple egg omelette: with spinach, tomato, corn, spanish onion, ham/bacon and cheese!

#6: Blaté platter: Self-assemble Bacon, Lettuce, Avocado, Tomato and Egg, with a bit of mayo on toast

#7: Banana & Date Porridge: oats cooked with banana and dates for natural sweetness
