Christmas is one of my favourite times in the year, once it hits December you can't help but wind down and just relax. Holidays, plenty of food and feasting, presents, a time to gather with people you love and just chill out... most of all, there is the reminder of the greatest gift of all, Jesus being born. This year as I was preparing a Sunday school lesson, the powerful truth that Christmas time is a time to remember that God himself entered humanity struck me. Seeing my friend Charissa's adorable newborn Ethan was also really amazing to think that Jesus was once a helpless babe, 100% man and 100% God at the same time. God's gift to us is truly amazing and full of unconditional love.
In keeping with last year, our group had a post-Christmas, pre-new year celebration and i thought we could have summery salads to keep it simple and to help with the over-eating from the previous few days! This was also to match the summer theme inspired by the attractive water dispenser that mum got me! :)
