Chinese cooking: Cheng's classics with some creative twists

(serving 10)
One of our favourite things about moving to Fairfield has been enjoying how close we are to our church family now, and how easy it is to have people over for dinner and just hang out. This is hopefully the first of many occasions that we can welcome our brothers and sisters in Christ into our home and share a meal and have fellowship over the table (including the mahjong table!). Thanks for a wonderful night and for coming out in the 40+ degree heat, it definitely helps the place feel like home :)

The Menu
Slow-cooked 1, 2, 3,  4, 5 ribs with gai lan
Hainan chicken rice
Mango & seared salmon soba salad
Cloud ear & pickled carrot salad
And in true traditional Chinese style, we didn't have any room for dessert!
