Dad's 60th: Cheng family feast

Just a couple of weekends ago we celebrated Dad's 60th by heading up to Terrigal for the weekend as a whole family. On reflection, i don't think we've done a whole family trip since 2005 - almost 10 years ago! It turned out to be a lovely warm weekend (well, at least for winter!),  except that Paul fell sick so missed out on most of the festivities...
Pelican-stalking at the beach
Short trek up The Skillion
Of course, being the Cheng family we spent a reasonable amount of time prior to going chatting about the menu. I thought it would be interesting to record this, partially as a reference for next time (!) because this is probably our typical family celebration meal (with a couple of recent additions) and is actually not too complicated or time-consuming to make and bring.

Menu
Prawn rice paper rolls with hoisin dipping sauce
Chicken satay sticks
Peking duck: Mario's favourite (store-bought)
Devil spare ribs (amongst the feast)
Things we forgot/ too full to eat: Bec's soup, tasty chips and snacks, the second duck and the second rack of ribs. Some people call it being excessive, we call it leftovers for the week!

For Sunday breakfast;
Big breakfast of bacon, eggs, hashbrowns, grilled tomatoes, herb mushrooms
Yoghurt and blueberries and pandan chiffon birthday cake!
Bec photobombing the b'day cake (left),
house shot (top right) and family photo (bottom right)
